About

Why India?

Winding mountain roads and incredible scenery – ride through vast tea and coffee plantations then head down to the coast for a dip in the ocean.

Or perhaps a stop in a small town for a chai and a chat with the locals whilst watching out for nosey monkeys – India is a place of infinite possibilities and an incredible experience.

You’ll come away with some spectacular memories which you’re sure to never forget!

What can I expect?

  • A backup van to carry our luggage and provide a more comfortable ride
  • Stunning scenery with rides into the unbelievable mountain roads
  • Explore Kerala & Tamil Nadu
  • A mix of accommodation including hotels, houseboats and stays with the locals
  • Monkeys!

This year was slightly different –  we flew into Bangalore and rode south through Mysore and into then to a jungle retreat near Masinagudi before visiting the hill station of Ooty, famous as being the birthplace of snooker.

We continued our journey south visiting the industrial centre of Coimbatore

Who are we?

Gordon Kemp – Organiser

“I have been riding motorcycles for over 50 years, and ran my first organised tour in 1982, taking 12 motorcycles through France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. All with no GPS, internet or mobile phone, just compass and maps! If you lost one of the group they stayed lost! Fortunately over 2,000 incident free miles, although a lot of lessons learned.

Following that I have ridden throughout Europe, as well as Russia, Poland, Ukraine, Vietnam, Sri Lanka to name a few. I also frequently run various another tours, including taking groups of riders to Le Mans for the 24hr, or Normandy for the D-Day celebrations.

I was lucky enough to become one of a few Police motorcyclists in Avon and Somerset and went on to become a certified Police Instructor. I also represented the British police in the Annual competitive international police rally in Liège, Belgium.

I have Raced, Rallied, Trialed, Motocrossed and Enduroed.

In 2000 I undertook a university degree in Education and training where I investigated motorcycle training and collision causation factors.”

I am a quailed DSA motorcycle instructor.

For over ten years, I have been running tours to India – I consider myself to run a tour that fits most riders and I can evidence that by the numbers that come back for a second third or is some cases 10th time!

India is diverse, and beautiful. I can promise an unforgetable experience!”
