Saturday 2 March – Kevin and Wendy took a 15 minute walk from Tree Tops to the elephant camp.  We had a ride on our elephant “Maria” who was 28 years old. All the elephants were very obedient and have one master to take care of them.  The elephants can get upset if they see their master taking care of another elephant.  She posed for lots of photos and we think she was a supermodel in a previous life!  Then we watched her shifting logs with her trunk and using her mouth.  She loved the bananas we gave her.  Finally we got into the elephant bath and gave her an all over scrub before sitting on her back and receiving a shower from her – fully clothed!  We dripped all the way back to Tree Tops for a much appreciated breakfast!
